Requests

The Requests module allows the Tenant Admin to monitor and manage all requests created by employees within the organization. It provides a centralized view of employee request activities, enabling the Tenant Admin to review request details, track request status, and oversee device-related operations. The Requests page displays all types of requests, including:

  • Device Pickup Requests

  • Device Drop-off Requests

  • Device Service Requests

    This module helps Tenant Admins track the status of requests and monitor all device and service-related activities.


Requests

The Requests List Page displays all device pickup and drop-off requests.

Each request row shows:

  • Request ID – Unique system-generated identifier
  • Employee – Name of the employee associated with the request (if applicable)
  • Request Type – Pickup / Drop-off / Maintenance
  • Device Type – Category of the device
  • Device Code – Specific device involved
  • Locker Name – Locker used for the request
  • Created On – Date and time when request was created
  • Status – Current state of the request
  • Actions – View

This page helps the Tenant Admin:

  • Track request progress
  • Identify pending operations
  • Monitor completed actions
  • Investigate failed or cancelled requests

Request Types

Requests may include:

Device Pickup

Created when:

  • An employee requests to collect a device from a locker.

Device Drop-off

Created when:

  • An employee returns a device to a locker.

Maintenance Pick-up

Created when:

  • A device is removed from a locker for servicing.

Maintenance Drop-off

Created when:

  • A device is placed back into a locker after maintenance.

Each request is linked to:

  • A specific device
  • A locker
  • A slot (where applicable)
  • A user or admin

Request Status Definitions

Each request progresses through defined statuses.

Common statuses include:

Pending

  • Request is created.
  • QR code generated.
  • Waiting for locker interaction.

Closed

  • QR successfully scanned.
  • Device pickup or drop-off physically completed.
  • System location updated.

Cancelled

  • Request was cancelled before completion.

Processing

  • The actual pickup or dropoff process is inprogress.

These statuses ensure operational transparency and traceability.


14.3 View Request Details

To view detailed information:

  1. Click View on a request.

  2. The Request Details Popup will open.

This detailed view helps the Tenant Admin:

  • Verify device movement history
  • Investigate incomplete requests
  • Confirm who performed the action
  • Track timeline of device handling

Request Lifecycle

A request follows this lifecycle:

  1. Request Created
  2. QR Code Generated
  3. Locker Interaction (Scan QR)
  4. Physical Pickup/Drop-off
  5. Status Updated to Completed

The system updates the device location only after successful locker authentication.

This ensures:

  • Secure access control
  • Accurate inventory tracking
  • Full auditability
