Gateway Management

The Gateway module is used to configure and manage IPKVM gateways. A gateway acts as the communication bridge between the Smart Locker platform and connected IPKVM devices.

Create a Gateway

To add a new gateway:

  1. Navigate to Gateway from the left navigation menu.
  2. Click Create Gateway.

  1. Enter the following details:

    • Gateway URL – The IP address or URL of the IPKVM gateway.
    • Gateway Capacity – Maximum number of IPKVM devices the gateway can support.
  2. Click Test to verify the gateway connection.

  3. In the confirmation dialog, click Test to continue.

  4. Once the test is successful, save the gateway.


View Gateway Details

To view gateway information:

  1. Open the Gateway page.

  2. Click View for the required gateway.

  3. The Gateway Details page displays:

    • Gateway ID
    • Gateway URL
    • Gateway Capacity
    • Gateway Status

Edit Gateway Details

To update gateway information:

  1. Open the required gateway.

  2. Click Edit.

  3. Update the required fields:

    • Gateway URL
    • Gateway Capacity
    • Gateway Status

  4. Click Save.

  5. Confirm the update.


Delete a Gateway

To remove a gateway:

  1. Navigate to the Gateway page.

  1. Click Delete for the required gateway.
  2. Confirm the deletion.

Note: A gateway with active IPKVM devices should not be deleted until all associated devices have been removed or reassigned.


Gateway Status

The Gateway Status toggle controls whether the gateway is available for IPKVM communication.

  • Enabled – The gateway is active and can communicate with linked IPKVM devices.
  • Disabled – The gateway is inactive and cannot be used for new or existing IPKVM connections.

Gateway List

The Gateway page displays the following information for each configured gateway:

Max LimitMaximum number of IPKVM devices supported by the gateway.
Active IPKVMNumber of IPKVM devices currently using the gateway.
StatusCurrent gateway status (Enabled/Disabled).
ActionsView or Delete the gateway.

Best Practices

  • Verify the gateway URL before saving.
  • Always test the gateway connection before use.
  • Configure the gateway capacity according to the expected number of IPKVM devices.
