Stores

The Stores module allows the Tenant Admin to manage store locations where devices are physically stored before being placed into lockers or assigned.

A Store can represent:

  • A physical warehouse
  • A branch office
  • A storage room
  • A regional inventory location

Stores help organize inventory before distribution.

Stores Overview

The Stores List Page displays all configured stores.

Each store shows:

  • Store Code – Unique identifier
  • Store Name – Friendly name
  • Devices Present – Number of devices currently assigned
  • Actions – View / Edit / Devices

This provides a quick summary of inventory distribution across locations.

Stores must be created before devices can be assigned to them.

Steps to Create Store

  1. Click Create Store.

  2. Enter:

    • Store Code (Unique identifier)
    • Store Name

  3. Click Create.

  4. Confirm in the popup.

After confirmation:

  • The store will be listed.
  • Devices can now be assigned to this store.

Store Code must be unique.

To modify store details:

  1. Click View on a store.

  2. The Store Details page opens.

  3. Click Edit.

  4. Update required fields.

  5. Confirm changes.

Devices Under Store

Each store contains devices assigned to it.

Steps:

  1. Click Devices under a store.

  2. View all associated devices.

The list displays:

  • Device Code
  • Device Name
  • Device Location

This helps the admin:

  • Monitor store-level inventory
  • Identify devices ready for locker placement
  • Track maintenance return inventory
  • Manage stock redistribution between stores

Store and Device Movement Relationship

Stores act as central inventory points.

Common movement flows involving stores:

  • Store → Store (Inventory transfer)
  • Store → Locker (via Drop-off Request)
  • locker → Store (via Pick-up Request)

Stores do not require QR interaction unless the device is being moved or into a locker.

Best Practice Guidelines

For efficient inventory management:

  • Keep sufficient devices in lockers for active demand.
  • Monitor Low Stock alerts under Device Types.
  • Regularly review devices in Maintenance.
  • Use Stores as controlled staging areas before locker placement.
