Tenants
A Tenant represents an organization that uses the Smart Locker system to manage devices for its employees. Each tenant operates as an independent unit with isolated data, users, devices, and lockers.
Tenant management is performed exclusively by the Super Admin to ensure controlled onboarding, secure access, and proper system governance.
Purpose of Tenant Management
Tenant management exists to:
- Onboard new organizations onto the platform
- Define organizational ownership and boundaries
- Associate lockers with the correct organization
- Enable tenant-level administration
- Maintain isolation between organizations
Once created, tenants operate independently without interference from other tenants.
Tenant List
The Tenants List provides a high-level overview of all organizations registered in the system.
Each tenant entry displays:

This view helps the Super Admin monitor tenant scale, usage, and resource allocation at a glance.
Tenant Creation
Tenant creation is a structured process that defines both system access and organizational identity.
Personal Info
The Personal Info section defines login credentials for the tenant admin.
It includes:
- Name
A reset password email will be sent to this email and can access.
Organization Info
The Organization Info section defines the organization’s identity.
It includes:
- Organization Name – Official tenant name
- Organization Address – Physical or registered address
This information is used for identification, reporting, and audit purposes.
- All entered details are reviewed
- Confirmation is required to proceed
This confirmation step prevents accidental or incorrect tenant creation.
Tenant Details
Each tenant has a dedicated Tenant Details view.
This view provides:
- Organization information
The Tenant Details page acts as the control center for tenant-level inspection.
Editing Tenant Details
Tenant details can be updated when required.
- Editable fields include personal information and organization information
- All updates require confirmation before saving
Changes are applied immediately and reflected system-wide.
Tenant Governance and Isolation
The tenant model enforces strict isolation:
- Tenants cannot access other tenants’ data
- Lockers belong to only one tenant
- Admins and employees are scoped per tenant
The Super Admin retains visibility but does not perform tenant-level operations.
Best Practices
- Verify organization details before tenant creation
- Assign lockers only after tenant setup is complete
- Periodically review tenant usage metrics
- Use confirmation prompts carefully to avoid misconfiguration
